Soon Enough is to far away.

Lately ive been getting alot of work. As you all know I started this journey 1 year ago and my objectives were to break into the sketch card industry and then comics. Well goal 1 is complete even though I have much to learn. Ive slowed down my studying to do some work and see where my studies have gotten me. So far its paying off and right now I have one year to go. This years focus will be color. All of my fundamentals are down. Perspective, Line weight, Contra Posstal, relation, form, structure, and some shade. To believe I drew before that... ouch. Well stay tuned for more as my career develops. Also if I get the go ahead to post the concept art for the childrens book I will be posting here in my blog.

Here are some of my cards from Breygent. As well as a custom sketch book from NekoHeavyIndustries

Thanks again for checking in and being apart.

The Update ( gets a little personal )

Wow, lots been going on Since January 2011 when I started to pursue my art career. 1st off im still married and in a great relationship and our daughter is blossoming into a fantastic person. On that note. Ive been extremely blessed. As you all know I draw on the side for now for a little extra for the family, I just finished up my 1st official sketch card set for Vampirella. Just as the dust settled for that, I was invited to do a children's book on well... can't say this project haven't been done yet but im very excited to start working on it. Funny thing, the art direction was helped by a conversation that I had with fellow artist Tim Shay who has done nothing short of spectacular work. So the image that I have here is a test to see if I still have my computer graphics for 1 year.

Back on a personal note. I lost my grandfather due to a car accident earlier this year. My grandmother is still in the hospital and she is recovering beautifully. My father in law had a reaction to surgery that has left him in the hospital for 23 days so far, my mother in law is a very able woman but we really felt it was great if she stayed with us until everything goes back to normal. Its been great having her here, she is a cool lady. Not to mention all these trials and tribulations have made us stronger as a unit and Its kinda exciting to see what type of metal your made of.

" life is the blacksmith, wisdom is the hammer, triumph is the fire, we are the steel"

Talk to you all soon, and thanks for all of the support.

Happy New Year!

Morning Everyone, your favorite fashionably late artist is here. I have some news, Well 1st off my new years was great. Got to spend it with everyone I hold dear. Artisticly wise, Things are fantastic. I was pulled on as an art director for my friends music career. I am responsible for his over all image, this includes, logos, pictures, video, and just creative input on advertising descisions. I should be getting my sketch cards tomorrow from versicolour print ( finally ). Ill post them tomorrow if I get them. I am also out of the learning stage of my career. Its more reflecting and gaining better understanding. Ive been rubbing digital elbows with some pretty fantastic artist thru facebook that has helped me overcome some hurdles that I have encountered for the past year including hair. I have started a company with my friends called nerdology inc. We basically review everything there is to review related to nerd culture. Im pretty amped about it, seeing that it dosen't feel like work. On the down side, my grandfather passed away January 3rd. It was a tragic car accident, my grandmother was with him but she made it. Right now she is on the road to recovery. Thanks again ladies and gents for your precious time.

Thanks again,

- Jon
